Guitar frets stretching exercise

When you begin playing the guitar one of the problem beginners suffer from is not beginning able to stretch their figures far enough so they can play the chords they wish to. So as a beginner playing the guitar it can sometimes feel awkward and uncomfortable but once you follow this exercise you will be playing all the notes you want to without this awkward feeling, that makes everything difficult. you will start small then slowly moving up the neck so your fingers will cover more area to play the same chord. So we are going to be playing the F major 7th chord which is nothing to be scared off it just a chord like any other but it does make you stretch. So if you don’t know how to play an F major 7th chord that’s ok I will tell you where your fingers go.

You need to place your third finger on the fourth string third fret, your second finger on the third string second fret and your first finger on the second string first fret. Also need an open string under that. So if you placing your fingers on these strings you might feel a little uncomfortable so how can we improve this so you can get use to it without such a large stretch. Well the higher the frets on your guitar the smaller the distance between the frets becomes. So keep the same f major 7 and slide it down the guitar and find a fret that feels the best and hold this position until you feel comfortable. Go down the Fret until you get to a comfortable finger distance where the frets are allot closer but going to far down will result in making it more diffcult because they are to close. Once you have found a position that suits you hold it while playing it until you feel adjusted then move it up one by one each time so you slowly increase the stretch in your fingers, until you get the first fret where we begun the exercise. Now that you have master the F major 7th cord you will be able to apply this technique and skill to all unknown notes and chords.
