CMT is back for season two of Can You Duet to find the hottest new and upcoming country duo. The audience will be taken on an on-stage and off-stage tour of the life of each country duo. The audience will get to follow the contestants' weekly performances as they battle for the 2009 win. Can You Duet is unique to Nashville and the country music world because these contestants are a part of a team and are judged as a duo, not individually. Husband and Wife, Jay and Mark O’Shea, are finalist in this years competition along with Abby and Holly, Memarie and Kassie, Ryan and Avalon, Chelsee and Rob, Harmon Creek, Steel Magnolia, The Stellas, JB Rocket, and Matt and Keeira. 

Individually Jay and Mark have a string of writing and artists credits that span the globe. Mark and Jay decided to join forces when they moved from their Australian hometown to Nashville in 2007, and what a combo. O'Shea performs live every wednesday night at Nashville's legendary Blue Bar. It is rare, indeed, to find an unsigned act in Music City that can fill a venue but that's exactly what O'Shea has managed to do for over a year. Now here they are on CMT's hit show, Can You Duet ready to battle the other contestants for this years win. 

The show is hosted by Lance Smith and is a music competition series created by “American Idol” producers FremeantleMeadia North America. The show will feature celebrity judges, Naomi Judd, Big Kenny, and Scott Borchetta.The winners will be awarded a record deal from one of Nashville's most prominent record companies, Big Machine Records. Can You Duet is excited for the season two kickoff with the wide rage of talent in this years competition! Can You Duet premiers June 20th, 2009.
