Each year people watch the American Music Awards to find out whether their favorite musical artists get the recognition the fans believe they deserve. There is a lot more to the American Music Awards, and this year was no exception. The most dramatic part of the AMAs this year was when Jennifer Lopez — whose fans call her J. Lo - falling on stage at the AMAs.
Don’t worry yourself; J. Lo’s fall wasn’t a bad one. She was uninjured, but when J. Lo falls at the AMAs is kind of a big thing, regardless. Luckily, that which has made Lopez famous has not only made her rich and famous, but it also protects J. Lo falls on stage. She’s just fine. Anyway, she has a hefty insurance policy on that piece of real estate of hers, so if she did need medical attention she wouldn’t need quick personal loans or anything.

American Music Award winners
In case you’re wondering who actually won at the American Music Awards, here’s the rundown of the big ones. Michael Jackson won four awards posthumously, winning Favorite Male Artist in pop/rock, and also for soul/rhythm and blues. His “Number Ones” compilation got both awards in those categories, as well.
The Black Eyed Peas took home Favorite Band, Duo, or Group in both categories. Rascal Flatts took that title in the country category. Jay-Z won all available titles in the rap/hip hop category, winning Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album. Keith Urban won Favorite Male Artist for Country, and Beyonce won Favorite Female Artist for soul/R&B.
Taylor Swift won the most awards, five total, taking home favorite Female artist for pop/rock, country and adult contemporary. She also took home Favorite Album for her album “Fearless” in Country. She also won Artist of the Year, of course.
